An intimate four day destination workshop for photographers and event planners located at the historic Chateau de Tourreau.  This multiple day event is for those looking to elevate their craft, focusing on high-end experiences.

Through this workshop, we will focus on education, direction, and hands-on tutorials, while also creating a high-level experience for attendees during their stay. It is our intention that each attendee walks away with real and authentic tools to not only better their skills, but also improve their business structure, elevate their work through highly detailed portfolio shoots, and refine their overall client experience.

Chateau de Tourreau
Provence, France

Chateau de Tourreau is a gorgeous estate built in the 1700s, located in the southern French region of Provence. Near Orange and Avignon, the estate is surrounded by vineyards and boasts an avenue of Provence cypress trees, leading you directly through the front gates to the house.

Spread over 20 acres of pristine grounds, the estate features incredible architecture, manicured gardens, orchards, beautiful guest rooms, and high-touch service. Amenities such as an expansive swimming pool, sports facilities, a gym, and other activities are available to attendees while staying on the grounds.

Chateau de Tourreau has hosted many incredible events, celebrity weddings, and has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Brides, and more.

Festoons and Flourishes is a wedding and event planning studio focused on creating unique, detail-oriented events, with our clients and their stories at the heart of all that we do. Specializing in full-service planning, design, and production, Ashley collaborates closely with her clients, to provide a highly personalized planning process from start to finish, bringing their dreams to life, curating each event to be a reflection of their personalities and to tell the stories that brought them together.

Photographing all over the globe, she has developed a classic style that has brought her a loyal base of clients and followers. Over the years she has grown the NMP brand to include not only incredible weddings but also highly-curated educational workshops for photographers seeking to further their craft.

Attendees can expect two extended sessions of classroom learning, featuring multiple keynote speakers including Niki and Ashley, as well as hands-on

Photography attendees will have the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of highly-detailed editorial shoots all over the estate grounds, as well as inside the Chateau over the four days. Planning attendees will have the opportunity to work behind the scenes with Ashley, to produce the editorial shoots while also learning designing fundamentals and steps of production. 

Attendees will be invited to stay at the Chateau de Tourreau, a gorgeous estate, built in the 1700s, located in the southern French region of Provence. Each attendee will be assigned their own ensuite room and will be able to enjoy the property during their stay. Accommodations are included in the price of the workshop ticket.

All food and beverage will be provided by a private Chef. Food and beverage, including meals if the attendee chooses to check in early, are included in the price of the workshop ticket.

Event Planners will have the opportunity to enjoy both classroom time and behind-the-scenes experience while actively producing editorial shoots side-by-side with Ashley.

Topics covered will consist of breaking into the four main areas of event planning…business, logistics, design, and production. All important areas to balance, attendees will learn the basic structure of an event, understand the importance of client experience and vendor relationships, while learning the fundamentals of design and how each small detail comes together into one cohesive experience.

Is travel included?

Airfare and transportation to and from the Chateau are not included. However, if attendees wish to have airport shuttles arranged, this can be done for an additional fee after booking.

What airport do we travel to?

The two main airports nearest the Chateau are Avignon-Provence Airport (AVN) and Marseille Provence Airport (MRS).

Can I bring a guest?

A select amount of attendees are more than welcome to bring a spouse or guest to stay with them while onsite at the estate. Reserving a space for a guest will be first come first serve. Guests will be able to enjoy the grounds and facilities of the estate as well as the surrounding areas while visiting. During workshop hours, guests will be invited to dine with attendees at all meals, however, guests will not be allowed to attend workshop classes or shoots. If a guest would like to attend the workshop classes or shoots, this would require the purchase of a full workshop ticket as an attendee and not a guest. 
$975 per guest. Limit one guest per attendee. All attendees and guests must be over 18 years of age.

How many attendees will there be?

In order to provide a more intimate experience, we will limit to a total of 13 attendees.

How many nights of accommodations are included?

Up to four nights of accommodations are included in the ticket price with optional check-in on either Sunday April 2nd or Monday April 3rd. We highly advise attendees who are traveling far distances to arrive on Sunday in order to begin acclimating to local time.

Will I be able to submit my photos for publication?

Photography attendees are more than welcome to submit their workshop images for publication. We do ask that attendees wait to publish until Niki Marie Photography and Festoons and Flourishes are able to send out the master images first.

What should I pack?

There are so many things to do while at the Provence Niki Marie Photography Workshop. Please check weather prior to packing, but we will be hosting shoots and classroom sessions indoors and outdoors and giving attendees and guests a chance to use amenities such as the pool and gym.
As for the workshop itself, for photographers, please bring camera bodies and lenses you prefer, and a flash unit.
For photographers and event planners, please bring notebooks or laptops to take notes.
Please note that gift giving is an essential part of the workshop experience and attendees should expect a few fun surprises along the way. Please make sure to plan for extra room in your luggage.

Will we be able to tour around the area while at the workshop?

Although we have a fully packed schedule for the workshop days, if attendees decide to check in early on Sunday or Monday morning, they are more than welcome to travel outside of the Chateau grounds. Any activities and transportation on and off Chateau de Tourreau are the responsibility and expense of the attendee.
